Neev Energy is implementing the GUCL (Guwahati Utilities Company Limited) Smart Street Lighting Control Project across Guwahati’s main roads, modernizing the city’s lighting infrastructure with advanced monitoring and automation capabilities. The initiative is designed to bring reliability, efficiency, and transparency to one of Northeast India’s most critical urban networks.
The scope includes the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Remote Feeder Control (RFC) panels equipped with energy meters, automated switching mechanisms, protective devices, IP66-rated enclosures, and secure communication gateways. These panels are integrated into a unified software platform that enables centralized control, real-time monitoring, and actionable data insights.
A dedicated Command-and-Control Centre has also been established, featuring large LED display walls, servers, firewalls, and cloud integration to support seamless city-wide supervision. Implementing this project in Guwahati required managing complex traffic corridors, integrating new systems with legacy networks, and coordinating across multiple agencies to minimize disruption in a fast-growing urban environment.
By strengthening fault detection, improving energy efficiency, and enabling data-driven governance, the GUCL project positions Guwahati with a smarter, more reliable, and future-ready street lighting ecosystem.
