Neev Energy successfully executed the Prayagraj Smart Street Lighting Project under Prayagraj Nagar Nigam, transforming conventional lighting infrastructure into a centrally managed, intelligent system with long-term operations and maintenance support. The initiative modernized the city’s lighting network while strengthening its integration with Prayagraj’s broader smart city systems.
The project scope included deployment of Dual Light Control Units (DLCUs) with lux sensors for adaptive lighting, alongside CCMS Feeder Control Units for efficient group-based operation across key roads. These were integrated with the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) through secure gateways and software platforms, providing centralized visibility and control. Complementary upgrades such as SPDs, earthing, and cabling reinforced system safety and resilience.
The primary challenge lay in working with existing infrastructure—harmonizing new smart controllers and feeder systems with legacy lighting assets. This required adaptive engineering, phased implementation, and close coordination with municipal teams to minimize disruption. By overcoming these complexities, the project delivered optimized energy use, improved fault management, and a reliable, future-ready street lighting ecosystem for Prayagraj.
