Neev Energy has completed the construction phase of the Chhindwara Cluster Street Lighting Project in Madhya Pradesh and is now successfully operating it under an ESCO/OPEX framework. Covering urban local bodies across Chhindwara and Narsinghpur districts, with Chhindwara Municipal Corporation as the lead ULB, the initiative modernizes the region’s street lighting network while ensuring long-term operational continuity.
The project scope included the deployment of energy-efficient LED luminaires, upgraded feeder infrastructure, and smart Centralized Control & Monitoring Systems (CCMS) for automated switching, fault detection, and remote supervision. The transition from execution to operations required seamless handover of assets, integration with municipal systems, and establishment of reliable monitoring and maintenance protocols.
As with all ESCO projects, the critical challenges involved establishing baseline energy consumption, verifying savings, and enforcing SLAs over time. These were addressed through the use of smart controllers, feeder panels, and CCMS platforms, which provide transparent data, automated compliance checks, and verifiable evidence of energy savings.
Now in its operational phase, the project is delivering consistent illumination, measurable efficiency gains, reduced emissions, and a replicable model for performance-linked urban infrastructure across India.
